THE MAN WHO SAW THE MAN WHO SAW THE BEAR!

Collaborative exhibition of the Musée ambulant and the MBAS
January 27 to April 10, 2022

Guest artist : Chantal Lagacé

Paryse Martin, L’Ours, 7 x 2,6 x 2,6 inches, mixed media, Musée ambulant collection.

Dedicated to young people, this exhibition, which offers another point of view on contemporary art, brings together some twenty historical works of modern and naive art from the collections of the Musée des beaux-arts de Sherbrooke and the Musée ambulant. Added to the proposed corpus, the works of Sherbrooke artist Chantal Lagacé. Colorful and lively, the exhibition The Man Who Saw the Man Who Saw the Bear is distinguished by its didactic approach. Its original concept allows for a democratic and playful approach to art, through which the visitor is invited to interact and participate in the works and the scenography. A large circus tent and various active stations punctuate the exhibition route in which the visitor interacts, animates and interprets the works.

Contemporary art is definitely not something hermetic, it is playful and inclusive. See you under the big top on January 27th!
