On June 12, 2025, the Soirée des beaux-arts will take place at the Granada Theatre.

All funds raised during the auction are dedicated to supporting our organization’s mission and making the Musée des beaux-arts de Sherbrooke the leading visual arts institution in the region..

Let us remind you that all artists who generously donated a piece for this benefit event will receive 50% of the auction price. This is a wonderful way to support the MBAS while recognizing the contribution and importance of our contemporary artists.

Various options to generously enhance your donation are available on the online ticketing platform. As with each edition, part of this amount remains tax-deductible. All donors who enhance their donations will be warmly thanked during the evening.

The Musée des beaux-arts de Sherbrooke (MBAS) art auction is back this year in a hybrid format starting online on June 2, 2025, and concluding in person on June 12, 2025. The benefit event will be held on Thursday, June 12, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM at the Granada Theatre in Sherbrooke (53 Wellington North Street).

Every year, for over 30 years, the MBAS has organized the Soirée des beaux-arts to raise funds to support the MBAS programming, ensure the development of educational and cultural programs, offer original exhibitions of recognized high quality, and preserve the artistic heritage of Quebec and the Eastern Townships in its well-stocked three reserves.

Dinner and auction
A four-course gourmet meal will be offered to guests by Sherbrooke caterer Café Massawippi before the auction begins.

From Ferron to Cosgrove to Luc Pallegoix and Dominique Paul.

The works for sale at this auction will cover a wide range of prices, eras, and artists, bringing together the work of Marcelle Ferron and Stanley Cosgrove, as well as contemporary regional artists such as Luc Pallegoix and Dominique Paul. A golden opportunity to make discoveries and great deals! A privileged moment to introduce yourself to art collecting or simply to enjoy the electrifying atmosphere of a live auction while supporting the largest art museum in the region.

Although the auction will end with a live auctioneer during the Soirée des beaux-arts, all proposed lots will be available to a wider audience of collectors through an online auction starting June 2. This will continue throughout the evening of June 12, concluding in a hybrid format with both live and online bidding.

Several artists will be present on-site. A unique opportunity to learn more about their work and artistic approach before bidding on one of their creations.

Their commitment to promoting local culture and making the arts accessible to all is an example of social responsibility and inspiring leadership. Thanks to their constant support, the museum has been able to develop a multitude of projects. It is therefore essential to highlight this commitment and warmly thank Desjardins for their key role in the promotion of our culture.
