As part of the Centre en art actuel Sporobole’s ZOOM OUT event, discover the practice of Saguenay artist Mathieu Valade.

For Valade, art is a game: a game of scale, of codes, but especially of perception. His works invest the evocative power of forms and symbols to create illusionist universes that evade the eye. The exhibition Mathieu Valade . The betrayal of images brings together more than a dozen works in various media, from watercolor to video, and presents nearly a decade of artistic research. Let yourself be enchanted by trompe-l’oeil and optical illusions in a rich and sensory multimedia journey.

According to this artist, nothing is true, but nothing is totally false.
Just let yourself be taken in by the game.
