Soirée soif d’expression
Thursday from 5:00 to 7:30 pm
Let your creativity flow!

For the eighth consecutive year, the highly popular Soif d’expression Evening is back at the Musée des beaux-arts de Sherbrooke (MBAS)! This activity is a perfect opportunity to connect with an exceptional artwork brought out from the museum’s reserves while unleashing your creativity to create your own masterpiece! The selected works are large-format pieces from the prestigious collection of the MBAS.
The Soif d’expression Evening is designed for adults of all skill levels. No prior experience with acrylic painting is required. All art supplies are provided, and participants leave with their own painted artwork. In a relaxed “apéritif” format, wine and fine cheeses are served.
This creative evening is ideal for unwinding, chatting, and socializing while admiring an exceptional piece from the MBAS collection. A variety of musical atmospheres—classical, jazz, lo-fi, and even electro-swing—will enhance the evenings.
A total of ten evenings are scheduled from October 2025 to August 2026.
Events take place every third Thursday of the month during our temporary exhibitions.
SCHEDULE
Doors open at 5:00 p.m., and the mediation team will be there to welcome you and guide you to a creation station.
The presentation of the artwork begins at 5:30 p.m. A mediator will share exclusive insights about the piece and launch the creative challenge that will inspire the artistic session. Then, it’s time to create! Originality is encouraged—the goal is not to replicate the featured artwork. The evening concludes at 7:30 p.m.
