Soirée soif d’expression
Thursday from 5:00 to 7:30 pm
Let your creativity flow!
For the seventh year running, the popular Soirée Soif d’expression is back at the Musée des beaux-arts de Sherbrooke! These events are the perfect opportunity to get up close to an exceptional work from the reserves, while using your creativity to create your own masterpiece. The selected works are large formats from the Musée des beaux-arts de Sherbrooke prestigious collection.
The Soirée Soif d’expression is designed for adults of all levels. No experience of acrylic painting is necessary. All art materials are provided, and participants leave with their painted work. Aperitifs include wine and fine cheeses from Fromagerie de la Gare.
These creative evenings are ideal for relaxing, chatting and socializing while admiring an exceptional MBAS work. The evenings will feature a variety of musical styles, from lo-fi, electro-jazz and folk to space ambient.
A total of nine evenings are scheduled from October 2024 to June 2025. Events take place every third Thursday of the month during the presentation of our temporary exhibitions.
PROCEDURE
As soon as the doors open at 5:00 pm, the mediation team will be on hand to welcome you. The first to arrive will choose the best seats in the room.
The presentation of the work takes place at 5:30pm. A mediator will reveal exclusive information about the work and launch the creative challenge that will inspire the artistic expression session. Then it’s time to get creative! Originality is encouraged – the aim is not to emulate or reproduce the work presented. The evening ends at 7.30pm.
