The highly popular Soif d’expression Evening is back at the Musée des beaux-arts de Sherbrooke (MBAS)! This activity is a perfect opportunity to connect with an exceptional artwork brought out from the museum’s reserves while unleashing your creativity to create your own masterpiece! The selected works are large-format pieces from the prestigious collection of the MBAS.
The Soif d’expression Evening is designed for adults of all skill levels. No prior experience with acrylic painting is required. All art supplies are provided, and participants leave with their own painted artwork. In a relaxed “apéritif” format, wine, cheeses and appetizers will be served.
Art, Music & Creativity Evenings
Unwind, connect, and get inspired during a unique creative evening at the Musée des beaux-arts de Sherbrooke.
Each event highlights an exceptional artwork from the MBAS collection and invites participants to explore their own creativity in a welcoming and relaxed atmosphere. Throughout the year, a variety of musical styles, including classical, jazz, lo-fi, indie, blues, folk, and bossa nova, will accompany these inspiring evenings.
From September 2026 to August 2027, join us for a memorable artistic experience!
What to Expect
Doors open at 5:00 p.m., and our Education and Public Engagement team will be there to welcome you and guide you to your creative station.
At 5:30 p.m., a museum educator will present the featured artwork, sharing fascinating insights into its history, context, and artistic significance. The presentation will conclude with a creative challenge designed to spark your imagination and inspire your artistic exploration.
Then, it’s your turn to create!
Originality is encouraged, and the objective is not to replicate the featured artwork, but rather to use it as a source of inspiration for your own creative expression.
The evening concludes at 7:30 p.m.

- Museum Members: $40
- Non-Members: $55
New rates will take effect as of January 2027.

Space is limited and advance registration is required.
Due to the growing popularity of these events, we encourage participants to reserve their spot as early as possible.
Public registration opens Friday, August 28, 2026.

Please note that reservations cannot be transferred to a later event date. However, if you are unable to attend, your registration may be given to another person.
