This exhibition pays tribute to the career and the sensitive, dramatic world of the late printmaker and painter, Louis-Pierre Bougie (1946-2021). It showcases more than 40 artworks, several of which have never been shown in public.

Learn more about the various techniques used in printmaking – from aquatint to etching – demonstrated by members of Les Ateliers Dufferin, Sherbrooke’s creative centre for professional artists.

Bougie was heavily involved in spreading the word about his specialized art form and in the history of Quebec art, he leaves behind an important legacy. This collaboration with Les Ateliers Dufferin pays tribute to his strong commitment to promoting printmaking in Quebec.
